This privately owned company is engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of porcelain products, mainly for the HORECA (hotel/restaurant/café) market. The company was established in 1935 with the aim of designing and manufacturing porcelain for dinner ware and the industrial market. It has its registered office in Montgat, Barcelona, Spain. The company designs and manufactures ceramic items capable of living up to the highest demands, both in terms of manufacture (dimensional tolerances, surface roughness, complex shapes, etc.) and of use and working conditions. In addition, it develops nanocomposites for biomedical applications and materials for extreme conditions being partner in Spanish and European R&D projects. With its constant research in moulds and process technology, the company is also able to develop ceramic products of high technology which are sold under the trademark of Keratec Advanced Materials. Its technical advanced ceramics include pistons, sleeves, pump valve seats, bearings, mechanical close joints, thread guides, nozzles, cutting tools (plates, blades, discs), transformation dies (cold or hot extrusion, sizing, stamping), pad printing rings, powder compacting dies, and liquid and powder dispensers. These products are used by companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, agricultural, metal, plastic, paper, dairy, glass and electronics industries. The company continuously invests for design and new products development. Over the last years, it has developed and improved its production technologies, such as pressure casting, slip casting, tape casting, and uniaxial pressing for many different advanced materials. Its objective is to satisfy the most demanding necessities of this market, to introduce a wide range of products and to improve its possibility of developing personalized products adapted to customers' necessities.
